Directions and parking

Tonbridge Castle is set in the historic market town of Tonbridge with easy access links, riverside setting and countryside surroundings.
Travelling by car
From the A26, Quarry Hill Road, continue through to Tonbridge High Street (A227).
Parking
There is limited parking in the castle grounds. The closest car park is Upper Castle Field - for sat nav users the postcode is TN9 1BH. There is a charge for all Tonbridge car parks. You can pay with cash or by using the RingGo app.
Travelling by rail
Tonbridge is easy to get to by train. Trains from London take around 45 minutes and leave from London Charing Cross. You can also travel from East Sussex, Kent and Surrey. The castle is a 10 minute walk through the High Street from the station.
Cycling
We're on the Tudor Trail on the National Cycle Network. It's an almost entirely traffic-free ride, along the river Medway and through the beautiful Kent countryside. There are racks outside of the grounds where you can safely lock your bike.
Travelling by bus
Lots of buses stop right outside of the castle including:

- 403 Otford to Tonbridge
Travelling by coach
Pre-booking for groups is advisable. Coach parties are asked to telephone the castle in advance of their arrival. Our forms are temporarily hosted on the Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council website.
